Guild History
The Internation Guild of Spacefarers formed in the early part of the 22nd century as a forum for the crews of exploration, commercial and colony shipping to seek advancement in their profession and as means qualifying their skills. The guild has a loose managment style with the higher ranking members carry the brunt of the guiding of the guild into the future, much of the ranking is determines by years of service, commendations by captains and other guild members they have served under and with, and finally training and skills the spacefarer posses. Ranks and Titles are often associated within skill groups such as: Pilot, Engineer, Technician, Medical, Comms, Officer, Galley, Support, Scientist. Following the skill group is a number representing their rank between levels 0 (trainee) to 7 (master), so a spacefarer could be a Pilot(2) and Comms(3) giving ship captains and recruiters and idea of the qualifications of each guild member.
Many guild members serve on board many of the following ships and stations.
Space Warnings
Cordoba
Citing concerns over the recent announcement of curfews and the general outcry from the colonists of the Korean Hope Colony over the possible charges of wardens having participated in violent crimes against colonial discontents. The guild highly suggests that vessels transporting colonists to Cordoba make their passangers aware of current events, and advise them of safety measures to take.
Diana
The Dianan surface was placed under protective interdiction by the Diana Terraformers in 2170, in order to safeguard environmental transformation during the critical spontaneous condensation phase. All civilian and non-Terraformer vessels must report to the Dianan Orbital Directorate prior to planetfall. Failure to comply will result in criminal fines, impoundment, and even imprisonment.
To acquire the requisite colonial permits, please contact the nearest Diana Terraforming Corporation branch office: Mediterranean Union, Iberian Kingdoms, France, Germany, Federal Republic of Eastern Europe, India, and Brazil.
Paraiso Sturve 1785
Ever since the discovery of the MRSITG vessel at Paraiso, and the disturbance it caused when it stalled and moved an Iberian survey vessel out of system, the guild at this time suggests captains be cautious and avoid MRSITG vessels where possible to ensure the safety of crews and passangers onboard.
